Hi guys

We went to see U2 in concert at the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales last weekend. An 80,000 seater stadium. They were awesome live, and had an amazing set and light/tv show. Your mum's last (and only) concert was John Denver ..... this was a little different heh.

Here's a few vids of the concert we were at :

Ira Glass hosts an episode of the radio program, in front of a live audience...and records it for those who couldn’t attend to hear. The show is performed onstage by some of our favorite contributors: Dan Savage, Starlee Kine, and Mike Birbiglia tell stories. Plus a very special appearance by Joss Whedon, creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer!

Great show. Now if they could just bring it up to Alaska.

Full story @ WWW

This is the scene at a huge book warehouse whose contents are being given away after they were abandoned.

The warehouse, whose lease recently ran out, once contained as many as five million books destined to be sold online.

After the lease expired, the firm running the secondhand book business moved out, leaving it full of books.

Managers of the industrial estate invited people to help themselves so they can free up space at the site.

Definitely one of the more creative "video-game-based" proposals I've seen. He hacked Chrono Trigger in order to add a custom quest complete with new characters and dialogue.

Aww. How sweet.

Where the hell are these girls that a) are THAT into retro games, and b) would say "yes" to such an unorthodox method of proposal?

Dear god, someone tell me!

Via IGN.com, from producer, Damon Lindelof:

"This is right around the midpoint of the movie," he said. "One of the things that's at the heart of the Trek universe… is the idea of the away team. The idea that it's not just about people shooting around in a starship, but they also go down to these planets."

With no other information to provide, Lindelof offered his own interpretation of the image, and hinted at what might be yet to come for fans of Star Trek. ...

It costs me exactly $5711 in subscription costs per year with 36 accounts on the 6 month pay schedule. Not bad considering I’m looking at it like it’s a hobby and there are more expensive hobbies out there than World of Warcraft.

Just one MMO account usually taxes my brain enough. Just imagine if today's leading scientists ...

German Giant, one of the biggest bunnies on the face of the planet, tips the scales at 17 pounds — almost seven pounds more than the average rabbit of his breed.

“I don’t feed him an unusual diet,” said Wagner. “He goes through more than his brothers and sisters, but he eats the same food mix. His favorite food is actually lettuce. He can never get enough of it.”

Not pictured is Wagner's crying daughter after he told her they'd have enough rabbit soup for months.

As a frequent victim of unyielding city traffic, I applaud this man's efforts.

Peter Gibson’s work began as an act of protest against the dangers that automobiles pose to pedestrians and cyclists. Over time it evolved into a thoughtful critique on how contemporary society’s “car culture” causes people to live their lives disconnected from others and the environment.

Peter Gibson continued his street art until 2004, when he was arrested and charged with over 80 counts ...
